Years ago a biology colleague was looking for a new laboratory manual for his introductory biology course. He had looked at several different manuals and you know the story. He liked a few labs in one manual and other labs in another manual, but no one manual had only the labs he thought were important, much less in the order he wanted to teach them.

Finally in exasperation he said: "All I want is a laboratory manual that contains only the labs I want to teach, in the order I want to teach them. And, it would be nice if I could also add my own materials."

With this instructor's frustration, and my own in mind, I have authored and developed a Customized Biology Laboratory Manual service that will enable instructors like yourself to develop a manual containing only the content you feel is important, in the order in which you would like to teach it. My work has resulted in 50 introductory biology laboratory labs. These labs can be thought of as a set of building blocks, from which you can pick and choose the labs you would like. The pages, figures and tables will all be renumbered specifically for your Student Manual and Instructor Guide.

This home page will show you step by step the labs we have available and how to proceed.
