1. Q. Is this true customization or a "cut and paste" process? A. This is true customization! Other publishing companies can sandwich black & white copies of their existing laboratory manuals and renumber the pages.Brooks/Cole/Access Learning Systems provides you with true customization where we renumber the pages, graphics and tables. We can also combine the content of different labs and delete materials you don't need. At the present time, only the Shelp labs offer true customization. Back to Top A. No computer skills are necessary. It is like ordering a new car. You select the options you want and we build the product (Laboratory manual) to your specification.

A. Yes, a Customized Instructor Guide is provided with your student Customized Biology Laboratory Manual. Each unit in the Instructor Guide has 3 sections: 1) List of needed equipment and supplies. 2) Answers to the exercise questions. 3) Answers to the questions at the end of the unit. Back to Top A. Yes and No. At the present time, the printed manual is black and white. The CD version is in color. Back to Top A. No, but the Starr books are excellent and the vocabulary match is good. Shelp used the Starr texts during the authoring and beta testing stages of development. Back to Top A. Yes, we keep your selections in an electronic file, and you can request changes before the next printing. Back to Top A. Yes, and it looks good. You can combine or delete sections and renumber the pages of the Shelp labs. The Perry & Morton labs must be used as is without changes. Back to Top A. No, but you do retain copyright of your materials. It would be a good way to gradually write your own manual. Start by including a couple of your own labs and add to it each year until you have your own manual. You may use Brooks/Cole graphics if we retain all printing rights. Back to Top A.
